By the time of the Town Hall meeting was held, there were 4 confirmed West Nile virus. No deaths in these 4 cases. The officials cannot confirmed if these Frisco TX residents contracted West Nile contracted the disease at home or other locations.

During the Questions & Answers session, many residents shared their concerns about the disease. The City officials confirm that, at that time, the City of Frisco will not participate in aerial spraying. If the situations change, the City may elect to evaluate at a later time.

  • Stonebrook Parkway Road Construction Update

The Stonebrook Parkway from Preston Road to the North Texas Tollway  road construction has begun. It is expected to finish in November 2014 under 4 phases. The purpose for the road construction includes adding adequate water supply to the west side of the Tollway, increase an additional westbound lane for traffic flow, increase right and left turn lanes at Preston/ Rolater intersection and increase street lights along Stonebrook Parkway.

The project began in July 2012.

  • 2013 City Budget

The City will have an open hearing to increase city tax revenues (0.54%) from property taxes. The public hearing will be held on September 4, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at George A Purefoy Municipal Center, Council Chambers, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd., Frisco, TX 75034 if you are interested in participating.

The increase in participation came from the ability of calling into the Town Hall meeting offered to the residents of Frisco TX. It was indeed a great idea to allow more participation.
